nihon radio

a few portable radio receivers are the core of what not really pretends to be a sound installation - at least they are the audible interface for the audience. a mobile broadcasting unit, connected to a mini fm transmitter, provides various soundsources. These are archived material from works that were created at the bauhaus university as well as an audio file exclusively produced for the project "Nihon". For the latter, Marc Wallowy and Sebastian Seidel remixed samples up to entire songs. Initially based on the phenomena of Jpop, this audio piece does also refer to other branches of japanese music.
